QCM Favorite Ndambuki Gets Second in Hartford

Mykolai Rudyk had to sprint to ward off a late-charging opponent, winning the United Technologies Greater Hartford Marathon on Saturday in the closest finish among male runners in the race’s 13-year history. Rudyk, a 32-year-old from the Ukraine, held off Jonathan Ndambuki of Kenya to win the marathon in 2 hours, 18 minutes, 40 seconds. Ndambuki placed second in the 2006 Quad Cities Marathon with a time of 2:21:57.
