I ran the Austin Marathon and the conditions were perfect (actually, I ran up until mile 21 when a severe left shin splint forced me to walk in the last 5 miles, but that's ok). I have never run the Quad Cities Marathon, but have always wondered what it was like, so I'm glad I found your blog. If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database on there and would appreciate it if you would link your blog to it. I also have my own blog, but most of my information is on the main web site. Thanks and continued good luck in your training.
