Running Wild Marathon Training Kickoff May 23

Have you ever thought of running a 26.2 mile marathon? Or maybe just a 13.1 mile half marathon? Maybe you just want to improve your time. Whatever the goal, the Running Wild Marathon Training program can help you reach it. The kickoff for the training program is Wednesday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Garfield Park Shelter, 1224 E. 29th St., Davenport.

If you can run or walk distances of three to six miles and have been training three to five days a week, you will have no problem completing the Level One program. If you have extensive experience and you are looking for an improved time, the Level Two program might be in order. Both programs offer plenty of fun and support along the way.

On Wednesday, May 23 you will meet the coaches and Running Wild staff, learn about the training schedule, and have an opportunity to have your questions answered. Plan for an easy four to six mile run at 6 p.m. sharp with the meeting to follow.

This training has taken many people from average, infrequent runners to "marathoners." Cost is $60 which includes training, group parties and give-aways. For more information, call Running Wild at 563-323-7075.
